AAI Wins USAF Contract Worth $12.7 Million

AAI Test & Training, an operating unit of Textron Systems announced today that it has received a $12.7 million contract from the U.S. Air Force for the B-1 Advanced Radar/Electronic Warfare Test Station (ARTS) program. Under the 30-month basic contract, AAI will provide three B-1 ARTS automatic test equipment (ATE) systems, as well as several line-replaceable unit test program sets, or LRU TPS, unique to specific components of the system under test. Also included will be station self-test and calibration equipment, six application development environments and data products for all supplied systems. Contract options could span up to seven additional years and include the addition of 20 B-1 ARTS ATE systems, plus the required support equipment. B-1 ARTS will be utilized by both Air Force and Air National Guard end users. "Our B1-ARTS system is compatible with the Air Force's Versatile Depot Automatic Test Station for seamless integration into existing test architectures," says Senior Vice President and General Manager Robert Peters of AAI Test & Training. "We also made use of available, off-the-shelf ATE design for affordability. Together, our approach was intended to offer precise, reliable testing and great value to meet our customer's requirements today and into the future".
