Military Plane Crashes In Serbia, Pilot Killed

An army plane has crashed in northern Serbia Wednesday, killing one of the two pilots. The Serbian defense ministry has confirmed that the plane crashed in an inhabited area and that no one on the ground was injured. The light training aircraft crashed around 0815GMT in Nova Pazova, about 30 kilometres northwest of the capital Belgrade, the defence ministry statement said. The pilots ejected before the plane crashed and an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the crash. The pilots were on a regular testing flight, according to the MoD. According to local media, the plane landed in a private garden in a central street in Nova Pazova.
