The Indonesia Air Force plans to receive two military transport aircraft CN295 from PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI). The CN295 aircraft will replace Fokker-27 Paratrooper. The two CN295 planes are part of the nine aircraft and will be operated for military purpose, logistics transportation and humanitarian missions. Windu Nugraha, PTDI spokesman, said, “Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro would officially take delivery of the aircraft before handing them over to the Air Force”. The CN295, a joint production between PTDI and Spain-based Airbus Military (formerly known as CASA), was manufactured in Seville, Spain.
