As Northrop Grumman's subsidiary Remotec Inc. continues to develop innovative, affordable, more capable robotic systems for first responders and the military, it is introducing two new developments to the unmanned ground vehicle market. Titus is a lighter, faster, stronger and smarter multimission unmanned ground vehicle designed to meet a number of new and emerging threats. Lobster, being developed with Applied Minds Inc., uses a pair of highly dexterous teleoperated manipulators to enable a remotely located operator to perform precision tasks, such as cutting small wires or delicately moving small objects. Northrop Grumman Remotec will highlight and demonstrate key features of Titus and Lobster during an Oct. 17 media briefing.
