AS350BA Helicopter In Service Support (ISS): Background

The Commonwealth represented by DMO is preparing a Request for Tender to provide management, engineering, maintenance, supply and general services in support of the AS350BA Squirrel Helicopter (AS350BA ISS RFT). The successful tenderer (if any) will be awarded a single performance based contract for a period of four years with options available for a further four years.>> It is expected that the AS350BA ISS RFT will be released in August 2008 on AusTender. The subsequent ISS contract (if any) will:>> -- assist the DMO in fulfilling its sustainment obligation, thereby ensuring the airworthiness of the AS350BA aircraft fleet until the introduction of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) capability; and> -- assist the Commonwealth in the disposal of the AS350BA fleet.>> The RFT has been prepared using the ASDEFCON (Support) V2 template.>> DESCRIPTION> As part of the DMOs ongoing efforts to consult with industry, key extracts from the AS350BA ISS RFT package are being made available for industry comment. DMO is seeking comments that will add to the clarity, simplicity and accuracy of the tender documents. The DMO is also seeking comments that would assist it in complying with Government policies, reduce the overall risk to DMO of the tender and increase the likelihood of value for money responses.>> Copies of key extracts from the AS350BA ISS RFT package are available for download on the links below.>> Comments are to be provided to [email protected] in MS Office Word 2003 compatible format marked AS350BA ISS RFT no later than 5pm on 17 July 2008.
