Smith & Wesson Security Solutions today announced that it has received a $230 million Access Control Point (ACP) Design-Build contract from the U.S. Army.

The contract awarded is to provide design and construction services at U.S. DoD installations worldwide.

This includes construction, design, repair, renovation, conversion, procurement, installation, and maintenance services under task orders required to secure the entry points at Government facilities around the world.

"We view this contract as the culmination of a two year strategic plan to establish Smith & Wesson Security Solutions as a prime contractor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, whose mission we regularly support," said Wesley Foss, President of Smith & Wesson Security Solutions. "Coupled with our recent award earlier this year in January of a $315 million worldwide maintenance and service contract, this contract award integrates very well within our ongoing global expansion."

The contract is an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award AUTask Order Contract (MATOC) with a total contract capacity of $230 million over a period of five years. Consistent with most contracts issued by CEHNC, this supports a very specialized mission that requires unique technical expertise and the demonstrated ability to perform work around the world in locations as diverse as Germany and South Korea.
