European Aerospace Leaders Meet ECB President to Raise Concerns on Euro-Dollar

FRANKFURT --- Louis Gallois, Chairman and CEO of EADS, Rainer Ott, President of Corporate Division Board, Diehl Aerosystems, and Franois Gayet, Secretary General of the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD), today met with Jean-Claude Trichet, President, and Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, member of the executive board of the European Central Bank, to present the situation of the aerospace industry in Europe.>> During the meeting Messrs Gallois, Ott and Gayet expressed their deep concern regarding the impact on their industry of the rapid and extreme fluctuation of the US dollar compared to the euro.>>> ASD, AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe represents the aeronautics, space, and defence industries in Europe.
