Northrop Grumman announced today that it has joined the Radiance Technologies team competing for the U.S. Air Force's National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) Advanced Technical Exploitation Program II (ATEP II) contract.

The objective of ATEP II is to provide contract services to support the NASIC mission in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and non-nuclear measurement and signature intelligence (MASINT). This includes up to 24x7 intelligence operations, advanced data exploitation support and GEOINT and MASINT research and development (R&D) for NASIC and mission partners throughout the Department of Defense and intelligence communities.

"This teaming arrangement greatly advances the objective of ATEP II and the mission of NASIC by offering them cutting-edge technology, innovation and experience," said Edward Bush, vice president, C4ISR networked systems, Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems.

Northrop Grumman specializes in satellite and radar processing, with more than 40 years of experience in processing overhead persistent infra-red (OPIR) data, which is a key aspect of NASIC's mission. The company brings experience specifically in GEOINT and MASINT, which includes planning and direction, collection, processing and exploitation, analysis and production, and dissemination activities.

"Having Northrop Grumman on the ATEP II Team will help us provide an unparalleled level of support to the NASIC mission," said David W. Ross, assistant vice president of Dayton Operations for Radiance Technologies.
