Airbus Brings The Eco-Efficient A380 to Farnborough Air Show

Airbus is taking part in the International Farnborough air show near London, from 14th to 20th July 2008.>> The world's most advanced and fuel-efficient passenger aircraft, the A380, is taking part in daily flying demonstrations and will remain on static display throughout the week.>> The A380 test aircraft MSN004 on display is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines and recently successfully completed the world's first ever flight by a commercial aircraft using a liquid fuel processed from gas (Gas to Liquids - GTL).>> Airbus will hold a press conference on Thursday (time to be confirmed) at the EADS press auditorium. Journalists are welcome to visit Airbus media relations during the show at the dedicated press chalet (row C - 24-26)>> Visitors to the show will learn about Airbus' growing product line at the stand of Airbus parent company EADS (Hall 4 - G15), which features 1/20th scale models of the A330 Family, A350 and A380.>> Airbus' on-going commitment to eco-efficiency is highlighted through a series of videos showing the entire life cycle of an aircraft and also through real examples of the company's environmentally friendly aircraft recycling techniques.>> Watch these pages as Airbus brings you the show's events in real time, including details about the daily live broadcast of flight displays, major announcements and the Airbus press conference.>> -ends->
