SAAB Wins $17 Million Carl-Gustaf Weapon System Contract

Saab has signed a contract on deliveries of components for the Carl-Gustaf man-portable weapon system. 

The order has a total value of $17 million comprising components for ammunition to the latest version of the modern Carl-Gustaf support weapon system. Deliveries will take place during 2014. 

“This order is another evidence of the system’s strong market position”, says Görgen Johansson, Head of Saab’s business area Dynamics. “Carl-Gustaf is a leading system and a key component of armed forces throughout the world. With each new model the demand for the system increases in many strategic markets. The Carl-Gustaf system has been sold to over 40 countries.” 

The industry’s nature is such that depending on circumstances concerning the product and customer, further information regarding the customer will not be announced. 

The Carl-Gustaf system has a long and successful history. The system has successively been modernized and adapted to meet new requirements. With the latest version Carl-Gustaf M3, Saab offer state-of-the-art capability for customers demanding high operational reliability in all conflict situations.
