New European Tank - Ferrari with a Turret?

The European Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) project to develop a tank is the first all-new tank design in decades. While previous tank designs such as the US’s M1 Abrams, Germany’s Leopard and France’s Leclerc hark back to World War II, the MGCS early concepts reveal a sports-car-like flair.

One of the concepts published in French Publication LaTribune is decidedly a “Ferrari with a Turret’.

Its clean lines, low sloping form and a sleek turret that merges with the gun all show a design inspired by a sports car. The new design will evolve into the MGCS when it finally breaks cover towards the end of this decade.
