General Dynamics Land Systems and Thales Australia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to submit a bid in response to the Land 400 Phase 2 - Mounted Combat Reconnaissance Capability project.
The General Dynamics and Thales team will offer Australia a compelling solution comprising the complete suite of LAND 400 capabilities as required by the Australian Army.
The Request for Tender for project LAND 400 Phase 2 – Mounted Combat Reconnaissance Capability was issued last month to replace the Australian Light Armoured Vehicle (ASLAV). When fully delivered, the LAND 400 Program will allow Army to successfully sustain mounted close combat against emerging and future threats as part of a joint force.
