Russian Kurganets-25 Armored Vehicle Production To Start In 2017

Russian Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs) along with Kurganets-25 tracked modular platform’s serial production can be launched in 2017, Tass reported Tuesday.

“Works on APCs, armored vehicles and armored recovery vehicles are underway. The (Kurganets-25) platform will be ready for all vehicles at the same time,” Vice-President and co-owner of Machinery & Industrial Group N.V. (Trantornye Zavody) Albert Bakov was quoted as saying during the Army-2015 forum.

Bakov said he does not see any obstacles for launching the aforementioned vehicles in serial production simultaneously. “Tests of undercarriage, engine are the same for all vehicles,” he noted.
