Israel has offered its old F-16A/B model trainers upgraded to ACE configuration as a replacement for Croatia’s MiG-21 fighters.

Israel is phasing out its old trainers to accommodate Lockheed Martin’s F-35A fighter jets which are expected to start delivery to the air force in 2017.

The new upgraded Lockheed F-16A/B has Elta Systems EL/M-2032 fire control radar with synthetic aperture radar mapping modes, Elbit helmet-mounted display system and 5*7 inch color cockpit displays.

Croatia earlier this year confirmed plans to replace its MiG-21 fleet and is on the lookout of three possible options. Used F-16s are promoted by the US and Sweden is promoting an upgraded Gripen C/Ds.
