Ukrainian Ukroboronprom has offered to upgrade Turkish and Polish armored vehicles.
The state concern has continued negotiations with European defense firms to establish technological and industrial cooperation in upgrading armored vehicles.
Kyiv Armored Plant, part of the state concern, held talks on cooperation with Turkey's ASELSAN and Poland's PSO, the company was quoted as saying in a press statement by Interfax news agency Monday.
"The possibility of using elements of the electro-optical sight was discussed with ASELSAN and equipping of armored vehicles with optics – with PCO," the concern said.
Some meetings were devoted to supplies of hydraulic units and aggregates to BTR-3E1, Ukroboronprom said.
Sources of Interfax-Ukraine in the defense sector said that at present, Ukroboronprom and ASELSAN are working on establishing technological cooperation in production of electro-optical equipment.
Ukroboronprom's Fotoprylad (Cherkasy) could be a partner in the project. A joint venture could be created in the future.
In 2015, Ukroboronprom's Zhytomyr Armoured Fighting Vehicle Plant and PSO signed a framework agreement of cooperation in modernization of electro-optical equipment for armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
