Raytheon Wins Three US Navy Contracts Worth $52 Million

Raytheon has been awarded three contracts worth $52 million from the US Navy, the US Department of Defense announced Wednesday.

The first announced contract worth $21 million has been awarded to Virginia-based Raytheon Co. to provide the software upgrade transition in support of the MQ-8 fire scout unmanned aircraft system tactical control system 2016 Linux cyber baseline.

Work is expected to be completed in October 2018.

California-based Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems  was awarded a second contract worth $19 million to provide engineering and systems services in support of the AEGIS ballistic missile defense program for the U.S. Navy and the government of Japan.

Under this contract, the services provided include operations research, physics analysis, test plans and procedures, test data collection analysis and test data review, test monitoring, real-time mission and technical management support, technical reports and briefing preparations in support of test, evaluation, and systems engineering activities.  Work is expected to be completed in March 2021.

This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($18,682,064) and the Government of Japan ($1,192,472) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.

Third contract worth $12 million has been awarded to Arizona-based Raytheon Missile Systems for Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM) Block 2 Target Detection Device (TDD) redesign efforts.

This delivery order includes requirements to design, build, test, and upgrade the ESSM Block 2 TDD and develop the commensurate test equipment. 

Work is expected to be completed by November 2017.
