Russia’s Technodinamika Holding and Chinese AVIC Shaanxi Aero Electric Company have signed a cooperation protocol to design and manufacture engine ignition systems and their accessories.

Under the protocol, Technodinamika is viewed as a partner in developing an ignition system for the engine to be installed in narrow-bodied short & medium range civil aircrafts. The partnership will manufacture some 200 ignition systems and 1,000 condensers.

An announcement dated February 13 was posted on the ROSTEC website but did not state when the cooperation protocol was signed.

\Besides, an assessment of a possibility has been foreseen to enter into a contract for a supply of Technodinamika-manufactured special mica-paper condensers to further their use in the ignition units esigned and manufactured by SAEC.

“Such interest of Chinese partners to Technodinamika’s products demonstrates high quality and competitiveness of products manufactured by our company” – says Igor Nasenkov, Holding CEO commenting the protocol signing – “We expect our cooperation expansion and a rising number of joint projects in future”.

Representatives of the Holding reported that at this stage planned supplies will include at least 200 ignition systems for civil aviation engines and at least 1,000 condensers.
