L-3 Communications has wont the US Army contract worth $454 million to supply Electro-Optic/Infrared/Laser Designator Payload, the Department of defense announced Wednesday.
Work under the EO/IR/LD payload contract encompasses program management, production, system engineering, integration, test, evaluation and logistical support services, according to a FedBizOpps summary.
L3 will develop the technology to help the Army manage battlespace situational awareness, increase TUAS survivability and obtain imagery for target or threat detection.
The company will perform contract work through Aug. 28, 2023, and will receive funds with each order.
