An unnamed southeast Asian country has awarded Elbit Systems a $153 million contract for comprehensive, multi-layered array of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) meant for its army.
Under the terms of the contract, the Israeli firm will supply a networked multi-layered drone solution, including more than a thousand THOR Multi-Rotor Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) mini-UAS, scores of Skylark LEX, Skylark 3 and Hermes 450 tactical UAS as well as Universal Ground Control Stations, Elbit Systems said in a statement Sunday.
Deliveries are scheduled to take place over a period of 22 months.
In June 2019, Elbit Systems landed an export order worth $180 million from Philippines. The agreement calls for the supply of Hermes 900 and Hermes 450 for long-range missions; Skylark 1 and Skylark 3 tactical UAVS for use by field units for real time observation and intelligence gathering.
