Russia Knocks Down Israeli Drone Over Syria
Israeli drone shot over Syria

The Russian Air Force on Thursday evening destroyed an Israeli drone in the airspace of the Syrian capital of Damascus, according to reports.

“The drone was on its way to carry out an attack on a target in Damascus,” Russian sources were quoted as saying by Israel-based Hadashot 12 news website.

This is reportedly the fourth time that the Russian army has prevented an Israeli attack in Syria since late August.

According to Russia's Avia.pro news, Israel has denied the ownership of the drone. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reportedly stated that the drone that was shot down belonged to Iran, and that it was launched to strike Golan Heights.
