An Embraer Super Tucano light attack aircraft used by the Air Force of Africa’s Republic of Mali crashed on April 7, killing both onboard.

“The Air Force’s Super Tucano TZ04 crashed on Tuesday April 7 near Sévaré town, Mopti region,” Malian Air Force (Armée de l'air du Mali) announced Tuesday.

The exact cause of the accident is unknown, but the Air Force said that the aircraft lost control after carrying out a landing maneuver.

General Souleymane Doucouré stated that a technical military commission has been set up to look into this accident.
