Egypt is mulling over purchasing Rafale combat jets, missiles, and satellites from France and Russian.
Owing to Egypt's interference in the eastern Mediterranean and in Libya, Cairo has entered into negotiations with France to acquire weapons to arm Mistral carriers, buy additional Gowind corvettes and Rafale jets, French-based LA Tribune newspaper reported July 6.
In addition, the report said, Russia has offered a satellite similar to Egyptsat-A for electro-optical surveillance and reconnaissance. Thales is reportedly looking to provide a satellite for radar imaging.
