Raytheon to integrate NASAMS into Air Defense Operations Center in Qatar

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Raytheon $34 million to integrate National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) into Air Defense Operations Center (ADOC) in Qatar.

“Raytheon has been awarded a $34 million modification contract for National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) integration and alternate Air Defense Operations Center (ADOC) installation. This modification involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Qatar,” the Pentagon said in a release earlier today.

The contract modification is for the procurement, installation, integration and testing of NASAMS into the ADOC and alternate ADOC.

The U.S. State Department approved the sale of NASAMS to Qatar for $215 million in November 2018. Eight months later, Doha awarded Raytheon two direct commercial sales contracts worth $2.2 Billion combined to supply Doha with AMRAAM-Extended Range missiles, NASAM and additional Patriot fire units.
