Russian defense electronics manufacturer, Ruselectronics has for the first time showcased the 1K144-E reconnaissance and signaling complex for covert surveillance at the Army-2022 Forum.
It includes sensors based on various physical principles that are capable of detecting enemy infantry and ground equipment, while remaining completely invisible, Rostec said in a release today.
The complex is an autonomous small-sized system, which includes seismic, infrared and magnetometric sensors up to 20 centimeters in size and weighing 150-600 grams. They are buried in the ground, camouflaged on the ground and provide continuous operation from built-in batteries for up to 30 days.
The equipment detects moving objects, determines the direction of their movement, counts and classifies them by type: wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles or manpower. The complex is able to detect an infantryman within a radius of 30 m, wheeled vehicles - up to 120 m, a tank or infantry fighting vehicle - up to 200 m.
The data from the sensors are transmitted over a radio channel and displayed on the operator's monitor in the form of an electronic map of the area with the location of the sensors and detected objects. The installation time of the sensors, taking into account their penetration into the ground and masking, does not exceed 5 minutes.
The solution was developed and produced by the Sozvezdie Concern (part of Ruselectronics).
“For the first time at the Army forum, we present a full-scale sample of the export version of the 1K144-E (TAS3) complex. This is an advanced covert remote surveillance solution for assessing the situation at controlled borders. The complex uses sensors operating on various physical principles, which ensures the reliability of the transmitted data,” said Mikhail Artemov, General Director of the Sozvezdie concern.
