The prototype of Turkey’s Bayraktar TB3 combat drone will make its first public appearance at TEKNOFEST 2023 exhibition which will be held at Istanbul Ataturk Airport between April 27 and May 1.
The Bayraktar TB3 will take to the skies for the first time this year.
Baykar-developed Bayraktar TB3 will be the first armed UAV in the world with the ability to take off and land from short-runway ships such as TCG ANADOLU with its foldable wing structure.
The Bayraktar TB3 is a carrier-capable armed UAV system and was designed with foldable wings.
Slightly larger than its land-based predecessor, the Bayraktar TB2, the TB3 will also offer an increased payload capacity of up to 280kg.
Bayraktar TB3, which will also have the ability to communicate beyond the line of sight, can be controlled from very long distances.
The platform will be equipped with long-range communication capabilities, allowing it to be remotely controlled from great distances. This will enable it to carry out missions such as reconnaissance, surveillance, intelligence gathering and attacks against targets located overseas.
