Azerbaijan’s Air Force Orders C-27J Spartan Transport Plane
Azerbaijan’s Air Force has placed an order for C-27J Spartan military transport aircraft.
The number of aircraft ordered is yet to be disclosed.
An Azerbaijani delegation was in Italy for the contract signing in the presence of representatives of the Defence Ministers of the two countries.
The C-27J Spartan is an aircraft capable of being deployed for military transport missions, airdrops of paratroopers and materials, ‘last mile’ tactical troop support, special forces operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
The C-27J can be configured in the Maritime Patrol (MPA), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Command-Control-Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR) versions.
