The Royal New Zealand Air Force has taken delivery of its fourth and final P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
Boeing was awarded $1.45-billion in 2018 to build four MPAs to replace New Zealand’s decommissioned P-3K2 Orion anti-submarine and maritime surveillance planes.
The last P-8A arrived at the Ohakea Base and was received in the presence of New Zealand Capability Delivery Deputy Secretary Sarah Minson.
