Norway is procuring new NASAMS systems and missiles, as announced by the Norwegian government.
The planned investment involves acquiring eight NASAMS launcher units and four fire control centers from Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, replacing systems donated to Ukraine earlier this year. The purchase also includes new missiles for air defense vehicles and three distinct NASAMS missiles with varying range capabilities, directly ordered from U.S. supplier Raytheon.
The proposed investments are contingent upon approval from the Norwegian parliament, with specific contracts to be disclosed upon conclusion.
In a related development, Norway had previously announced providing Ukraine with two complete NASAMS firing units in cooperation with the U.S., supplementing the two units supplied the previous November.
