Thales, in partnership with the German Navy and BAAINBw, inaugurated the 'extended Thales Testing Centre' in Hengelo, the Netherlands, signaling an advancement in the F126 project aimed at supplying frigates to the German Navy by 2028.

The expanded Thales Testing Centre will function as a central hub for the F126 project, facilitating critical activities such as prototyping, system validation, integration, and testing. This initiative brings together project partners including Damen Naval, the prime contractor for F126.

Key functionalities of the newly inaugurated center include system testing and integration, with dedicated spaces for validating ship sensors and hardware. Moreover, the facility will play a role in integrating the mission system into the Combat Management System TACTICOS.
