Rosoboronexport, Russia’s defense export corporation, is poised to unveil a collection of unmanned boats at the forthcoming Fleet-2024 exhibition in Kronstadt, in response to the increasing deployment of unmanned systems in modern conflicts globally, particularly in areas such as Ukraine.
Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev explained that the adoption of unmanned technologies in military and anti-terror operations has significantly impacted all arenas, including surface and underwater domains. Among the showcased unmanned vessels will be the “Vizir,” “Orkan,” BEC-1000, and the autonomous uninhabited vehicle MMT-300, presented for the first time to foreign customers.
“Russian enterprises, following global trends, have created a line of modern unmanned boats capable of carrying various payloads, which Rosoboronexport will present for the first time during the Fleet 2024 salon,” he said.
He said the company is eager to extend cooperation to international partners in constructing network-centric systems integrating unmanned boats and autonomous vehicles, besides introducing the concept of over-the-horizon operations utilizing Russian robotic systems.
