South African firm Paramount Group has announced its next-generation 6×6 Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV), the Mbombe 6.

The Mbombe family (4×4, 6×6, 8×8) offers maneuverability, ease of weapon system integration, and protection for military personnel. The Mbombe 6 ‘Mark 3’ features a redesigned electrical system for enhanced driver ergonomics, the use of more commercially available components, EMI-compliance, and a new interior layout for better functionality and space utilization.

Enhancements include increased engine bay protection, a new heavy-duty front bumper with integrated recovery points, and an updated electric winch. The 6×6 Mbombe ICV can function as an armoured personnel carrier or armoured fighting vehicle. It provides protection against landmines, IEDs, side blasts, and RPG attacks with flat-floor mine technology, offering scalable ballistic protection to STANAG 4569 and anti-tank mine protection to STANAG level 4a and 4b.

The Mbombe 6 has been produced in Kazakhstan as part of Paramount’s portable production model with Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering.
