U.S. Army, Lockheed Martin Conduct Double Test of Precision Strike Missile

Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army conducted a production qualification flight test for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.

This test involved launching two PrSM missiles from the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) to engage mid-range targets, demonstrating the system’s accuracy and operational reliability.

The test validates production efforts and follows the award of the fourth Early Operational Capability (EOC) contract in March.

PrSM is the U.S. Army’s next-generation surface-to-surface missile designed for long-range precision strikes. It can neutralize targets over 400 kilometers away and features an open systems architecture to ensure affordability and adaptability for future upgrades. The missile is compatible with both HIMARS and the M270A2 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS).
