The Polish Ministry of National Defense has finalized a PLN 1 billion ($240 million) arms contract to supply the Polish Army with domestically manufactured weapons.
The agreement was signed at the Ministry's headquarters in Warsaw by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and representatives of Fabryka Broni "Łucznik" – Radom Sp. z o.o., a leading Polish arms manufacturer.
The contract covers the delivery of approximately 45,000 MSBS GROT C16 FB-A2 rifles, 13,000 VIS 100 semi-automatic pistols, and 1,300 underslung grenade launchers designed for the GROT rifle. These weapons will enhance the combat capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces and are part of the TYTAN Advanced Individual Combat Systems (ZISW) program, which has been equipping Polish soldiers for several years.
Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that the government is committed to allocating 50% of its defense spending to the Polish defense sector.
The weapons included in the contract are designed and produced by Fabryka Broni "Łucznik" and are recognized for their reliability and efficiency in operational scenarios. The MSBS GROT rifle, a 5.56 mm carbine, offers adaptability and precision, while the VIS 100 pistol is valued for its durability and ergonomic design. The 40 mm grenade launcher, integrated with the GROT rifle, provides additional firepower, enhancing the effectiveness of infantry units.
