Rheinmetall has secured a contract to provide up to 120 rescue stations for the Bundeswehr.
The agreement, commissioned by the Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), is set to be formalised in January 2025 and valued in the high double-digit million-euro range.
Accourding to Rheinmetall, the delivery of 10 protected and 6 unprotected systems is expected between 2025 and 2027, with an option for 104 additional units.
These mobile rescue stations are designed to provide emergency surgical and medical care. They are equipped with features such as air conditioning, power generators, and advanced medical equipment. The systems are part of the Bundeswehr’s Modular Medical Facilities (MSE) and are capable of being rapidly deployed and dismantled.
