Anduril Acquires Numerica's Radar and Command & Control Businesses

Anduril Industries has acquired the Radar and Command and Control divisions of Numerica Corporation, a move that bolsters its air and missile defense solutions.

The acquisition integrates Numerica's radar technology and command software into Anduril's Lattice platform, enhancing its mission systems with tracking algorithms, signal processing, and radar systems. This expansion aims to improve combat operations with a unified system that connects sensors, effectors, and other technologies.

Founded in 1996, Numerica specializes in ballistic missile defense, air defense sensors, and command and control software. Its radar systems, including the Spyglass and Spark radars, are used for short-range air defense and vehicle protection, with active deployment within U.S. Department of Defense programs. These capabilities will now be integrated into Anduril’s suite of solutions, which includes Wisp, Pulsar, and Iris sensors for autonomous sensing, targeting, and missile warning.

By combining Numerica’s radar technologies with Anduril’s existing systems, the acquisition will deliver cost-effective, mass-producible, and autonomous sensing solutions designed to support critical missions in air defense, missile warning, and counter-intrusion operations. Anduril plans to manufacture these radar systems, including Spyglass and Spark, at its Arsenal-1 hyperscale factory to scale up production.

The acquisition also includes Numerica’s flagship Mimir software, which enhances tracking, fusion, and correlation capabilities, complementing Anduril’s Lattice AI-powered platform. This integration provides real-time situational awareness, improved decision-making, and fire control for military forces. The combined capabilities are expected to further strengthen U.S. air defense programs.
