Turkish arms manufacturer, CANiK will export 200 units of the M2HB Quick Change Barrel (QCB) 12.7×99mm Heavy Machine Gun to Brazil.
The machine guns will be used in the Brazilian Army’s ARES REMAX 3 and WE Platt MR550 remote-controlled and manual-controlled weapon stations. These stations will also be integrated into the Guarani 6x6 and Guaicurus 4x4 vehicles.
According to savunmasanayist.com, the M2HBs will be used by the Brazilian Armed Forces. In the first stage, 200 M2HB QCB 12.7mm Heavy Machine Guns will be supplied to Brazil for 3.1 million US Dollars.
The M2HB QCBs to be delivered to the Brazilian Army use NATO-standard 12.7x99mm ammunition. Acceptance activities for the rifles are planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
This agreement is considered the first major cooperation agreement between a Turkish defense company and Brazil. CANiK's effectiveness in the international market is further strengthened by such strategic agreements.
