Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) has delivered its 300th AH-64 Apache attack helicopter fuselage from its Hyderabad facility.
These fuselages are supplied to customers globally, including the U.S. Army and the Indian Army, which has six Apaches on order.
The Indian Air Force currently operates a fleet of 22 AH-64E Apache helicopters.
Established through a partnership between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in 2015, TBAL represents Boeing’s first equity joint venture in India.
The facility spans 14,000 square meters and specializes in producing aero-structures for the AH-64 Apache, such as fuselages, secondary structures, and vertical spar boxes for international clients.
TBAL’s Hyderabad facility plays a crucial role as a global supplier of Apache fuselages. Remarkably, over 90% of the parts used in assembling these aerostructures are sourced domestically from more than 100 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India.
