Russia to Display New Skyscraper Firefighting Helicopter at IDEX 2025

Rostec State Corporation will present the Ka-32A11M firefighting helicopter at the IDEX international exhibition in the UAE, starting on February 17, 2025.

According to the company, the Ka-32A11M features enhanced stability, crucial for operations in dense urban areas. It can carry up to 4,000 liters of water and 400 liters of fire foam in a single flight.

This latest Ka-series model is equipped with a glass cockpit, a digital aerobatic and navigation system, and the Russian SP-32 fire extinguishing system.

It also includes new VK-2500 family engines with a digital control system, developed by United Engine Corporation (part of Rostec), increasing thrust and performance.

"Our product line includes specialized firefighting helicopters, such as the Ka-32 family with a coaxial propeller design. Thanks to this configuration, the Ka-32 can hover with high precision in front of a fire and maintain position even in challenging conditions, such as upward air currents between buildings. This improves firefighting efficiency. At the exhibition, we are showcasing the latest version of the aircraft, the Ka-32A11M. I’d also like to highlight that Rostec has already begun delivering the new Ka-32A11M to Russian customers," said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
