Hungarian Defense Firm Secures Radar Contract from Estonia

Pro Patria Electronics Ltd., a Hungarian defense technology company, has secured a contract to supply passive radar systems to Estonia after winning a procurement process led by the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI).

The contract marks a milestone in Hungary’s defense exports and reinforces NATO cooperation in the Baltic region.

The passive radar systems will be deployed along Estonia’s borders to enhance surveillance and airspace monitoring. These systems provide real-time tracking of aerial threats without emitting detectable signals, making them crucial for modern defense strategies. The technology, developed entirely by Hungarian engineers, strengthens Estonia’s border security while minimizing electromagnetic exposure.

With its strategic placement in Estonia, the system will provide critical intelligence and early warning capabilities, enhancing NATO’s situational awareness in the region.
