Sweden Acquires Four C-390 Millennium Aircraft from Embraer

Sweden has formally committed to acquiring four C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft from Embraer.

The announcement was made on April 1, during the LAAD Defence & Security exhibition in the presence of Peter Sandwall, Sweden’s State Secretary to the Minister for Defence, and Bosco da Costa Junior, CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.

The C-390 Millennium has demonstrated a 93% mission capability rate and a mission completion rate exceeding 99%. It can carry up to 26 tons, reach speeds of 470 knots, and operate from unpaved runways. Additionally, the KC-390 variant has aerial refueling capabilities, enhancing its operational flexibility.
