The Netherlands Establishes New Center to Manage Long-Range Weapon Deployment

The Netherlands has launched a new Joint Target Support Centre (JTSC) as part of its growing commitment to NATO's reinforcement efforts, alongside its acquisition of long-range Deep Precision Strike (DPS) weapons.

The JTSC, officially established on May 1, is designed to manage detailed targeting and operational planning for the deployment of DPS weapons. These weapons are capable of striking well-defended targets deep inside enemy territory and are engineered to function even without GPS navigation.

A spokesperson from the Dutch Ministry of Defence explained, "The JTSC will ensure that all necessary data on targets, routes, and surrounding conditions is meticulously gathered and coordinated, helping to prevent accidents and ensure mission success."

The center coordinates closely with other units in operational areas, factoring in variables such as airspace clearance, target mobility, and environmental conditions. This integrated approach is intended to ensure precise and safe deployment of long-range assets.

Personnel from across the Dutch armed forces are assigned to the JTSC to pool expertise from multiple military branches. The Ministry of Defence noted that this multi-domain cooperation is critical for the effective use of long-range weapons.
