Turkey will receive the Hava SOJ Air Electronic Warfare Aircraft in 2026, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) announced.
Developed by TUSAŞ and Aselsan, the program includes four aircraft designed to neutralize enemy air defenses and perform reconnaissance. The Hava SOJ will feature systems for detecting, classifying, and locating communication broadcasts and radar signals across land, air, and sea platforms. These systems aim to suppress enemy radars and communication networks, allowing combat aircraft to operate safely.
The aircraft will coordinate with a ground-based Planning and Training Center for mission planning and execution and will also conduct long-range detection and jamming missions.
The Hava SOJ is based on the earlier land-based KARA SOJ (KORAL) system. The Undersecretariat for Defence Industry (SSB) awarded Aselsan the contract in 2018.
The fleet will be equipped with communication, radar electronic support, and electronic attack subsystems.
