Poland Signs Contract for Satellite Navigation Jamming Kits

The Polish Armament Agency has signed a contract with URC Systems, spol. s r.o., for the supply of satellite navigation jamming kits under the codename HELIOTROP.

The agreement was finalized at the Armament Agency's headquarters.

The contract, valued at approximately PLN 20 million gross, includes the delivery of specialized electronic warfare systems aimed at disrupting global satellite navigation signals. The HELIOTROP kits will be used by the Polish Armed Forces to jam systems such as GPS (United States), GLONASS (Russia), GALILEO (European Union), and EGNOS (Europe’s regional augmentation system).

Each HELIOTROP set will include a central unit, antennas mounted on masts, a graphical terminal, dedicated software, cabling, and control and measurement devices. Technical documentation will also be supplied as part of the agreement.

Deliveries are scheduled for 2026–2027. The systems will enhance Poland's electronic warfare capabilities by targeting vulnerabilities in satellite-based navigation and timing systems during military operations.
