Thomas Global Delivers Abrams Training Simulators to Australian Army
Full-crew immersive systems now operational under LAND 907 tank program rollout
Thomas Global Systems has delivered all deployable versions of its M1A2 Abrams Systems Enhancement Package version 3 (SEPv3) Immersive Tactical Trainer (M1A2 ITT) to the Australian Army.
The equipment, designed in backing of Australia's LAND 907 program for 75 new M1A2 SEPv3 main battle tanks, are the world's only full-crew Abrams simulators. They offer gunnery, tactics, and driving training that mimics combat conditions without deploying tanks.
The simulator provides training over the entire range of crew positions and collective operations. Situations may be networked under instructor direction, facilitating intricate manoeuvres and minimizing the cost of tank operation as well as environmental effects.
The ITT is available in classroom-based and containerised versions, backed by an Australian supply chain. The partners comprise Global Defence Solutions, Rockpress, Systematiq, and Thales Australia.
