The Netherlands will provide over 150 THeMIS unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) to Ukraine, Milrem Robotics confirmed on 6 October.
The donation, funded and coordinated by the Dutch government, will be assembled and delivered in partnership with VDL Defentec at its Born facility, where a dedicated assembly line has been established to support scalable production.
The vehicles will expand Ukraine’s existing fleet of 15 THeMIS UGVs, which have been deployed in combat since 2022. Designed for logistics, reconnaissance, and combat support, the THeMIS platform has been adopted in 19 countries and is the most widely used UGV of its class.
Milrem Robotics will provide comprehensive training to Ukrainian operators and support staff to ensure operational readiness and maintenance in the field.
