Boeing has secured multiyear contracts worth about $2.7 billion to produce additional Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) seekers.
Under the agreements, the company will manufacture more than 3,000 seekers for Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army, with annual production rates reaching up to 750 units through 2030. The PAC-3 seekers guide Patriot interceptors used to identify, track, and destroy ballistic and cruise missiles, hypersonic weapons, and hostile aircraft.
The company said the scaling of seeker production is critical to maintaining the Patriot system’s operational readiness as missile threats increase in conflict zones such as Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific.
In 2025, Boeing set new production records and is on track to deliver 650 to 700 seekers by year-end. The increase follows modernization investments, expanded supplier networks, and a new 35,000-square-foot factory addition at its Huntsville, Alabama site.
Boeing has produced more than 6,000 PAC-3 seekers since 2000 under subcontract to Lockheed Martin. Seventeen countries, including the United States, currently use PAC-3 interceptors to defend military and civilian assets.
