Indonesian Navy Takes Delivery of Indigenously-made Fast Missile Ship

Indonesia’s defense ministry has formally handed over the domestically built fast missile ship KRI Belati-622 to the Indonesian Navy at Kolinlamil Pier in Jakarta recently.

The delivery ceremony that took place on October 24 was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Donny Ermawan Taufanto and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali.

The 60-meter vessel was constructed by Indonesian shipbuilder PT Tesco Indomaritim. The KRI Belati-622 is the first Indonesian warship to feature a hybrid propulsion system with both waterjets and propellers, supporting agility and efficiency for multi-mission operations in national waters. It will join Fleet III Command to enhance patrol readiness across Indonesian waters.
