Russia has delivered military vehicles and equipment worth $53 million to Uganda on October 26, according to the Russian Embassy in Kampala.
Photos released by the embassy show Soviet-designed armored engineering vehicles based on T-55 tanks, GAZ-66 trucks with enclosed KUNG bodies, and at least one boat loaded on a road trailer. The embassy did not clarify whether the delivery forms part of a commercial arms sale or direct support to the Ugandan government within bilateral cooperation.
