Israel’s Ministry of Defense said it held a counter-drone seminar this week for German police commissioners.
The seminar was hosted by the ministry’s CIVAT Division during an emergency preparedness conference led by the Israel Police. Over 40 participants attended, including around 20 police commissioners from Germany and Israel.
Israeli officials presented operational experience in dealing with hostile drones, a threat increasingly used by both state and non-state actors. The ministry said the discussions focused on real-world identification, tracking and disruption of unmanned systems, drawing on lessons from recent security operations.
The visit formed part of Israel’s effort to expand defense exports and came amid increased German investment in homeland security. It described the seminar as a continuation of close bilateral cooperation aimed at addressing hybrid threats through shared expertise.
Twelve Israeli companies presented counter-drone technologies. Four firms—D-FEND, SENTRYCS, PARAZERO and SKYLOCK—conducted live demonstrations, simulating scenarios faced by police and security forces in urban and sensitive environments.
