Lockheed Martin has completed production of all F-16 Block 70 aircraft ordered by Bulgaria and Slovakia.
The aircraft were built at Lockheed Martin’s Greenville, South Carolina facility and have completed DD250 final acceptance under the U.S. government’s Foreign Military Sales program. With production finished, both air forces are positioned to field aircraft designed to integrate directly with NATO systems and operate alongside other European F-16 users.
The Block 70 fleets support air policing, air defense, and joint exercises flown across the alliance, aligning Bulgaria and Slovakia with the training standards and operational practices used by 29 allied F-16 operators.
The F-16 Block 70 includes the APG-83 AESA radar, a digital cockpit, conformal fuel tanks, a 12,000-hour service life, and the Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System. The radar shares software and hardware commonality with the F-35 sensor, supporting interoperability across allied air forces.
